Building Bright Futures Through Quality Education — where every child is nurtured to excel, grow, and shine.
Arise and Shine Nursery & Primary School was established in November 1996 with only 2 pupils. Through the excellence of our education and dedication of our staff, we have grown into one of the largest, most populated and successful nursery and primary schools in Owerri.
Our school community reflects a rich diversity of cultural heritage, languages, and backgrounds — united by a shared commitment to academic excellence and strong values.
We ensure every pupil develops strong literacy skills from the very beginning of their education journey.
Our structured maths programme builds confidence, problem-solving, and numerical fluency in every child.
We celebrate our diverse community and use it to enrich every child's learning experience and worldview.
Our academic programme is aligned with the Nigerian curriculum and designed to give every child the strongest possible foundation across all subject areas.
Warm, play-based early childhood education that builds social skills, creativity, and love of learning from the start.
Rigorous academic programme covering all core subjects — English, Maths, Sciences, Social Studies, and more.
Our structured phonics and reading programme ensures every child becomes a confident, fluent reader by Primary 3.
Creative writing, composition, and grammar taught through engaging activities that make children love to write.
A structured numeracy programme that builds real understanding, not just rote memorisation, creating confident mathematicians.
For nearly 30 years, families across Owerri have chosen Arise and Shine because we deliver results — and genuinely care about every child.
Following the Nigerian curriculum, we offer a rich range of subjects ensuring no child is left behind in any area of their development.
Our pupils consistently achieve excellent results. We set high expectations and give every child the support they need to meet them.
Every lesson is designed around the child. We recognise different learning styles and adapt our teaching to help every pupil thrive.
